Mr. Janczak was elected to his first term as Councilmember District 3 in January 2008.  He and his wife, Jan, own and operate Earthstones, a specialty construction company specializing in fabrication of natural stone products.  The company was founded in 1999.  He has also retired as an Admiral in the United States Navy after 35 years of service.  

Councilmember Janczak has served on numerous boards and commissions including the Temple Economic Development Corporation as Chair, Temple Reinvestment Zone #1 as Director, Temple Planning and Zoning Commission as Chair, and as a representative on the national Department of Defense School Board.  

Mr. Janczak and his wife, Jan, have 4 sons and 3 grandchildren.
